Following the liquidation of EIT Manufacturing in March 2026, the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT) is taking steps to protect students and sustain its support for Europe's manufacturing innovation ecosystem.
28DIGITAL, an EIT Knowledge and Innovation Community (KICs) will award the EIT Label certificate to students currently enrolled in EIT Manufacturing's Master School programmes, ensuring that their qualifications are formally recognised without interruption. Students enrolled in the former EIT Manufacturing Master School programmes will receive diplomas from both their entry and exit universities, as well as the EIT Label certificate, awarded by 28DIGITAL. This measure protects the value of students' qualifications and ensures that there is no disruption to the credentialing process.
28DIGITAL, known for its entrepreneurial education and Master School programmes run in collaboration with 25 leading technical universities, as well as for its global alumni network, is supporting this transition because of the significant synergies between the digital and manufacturing sectors.
