The role
28DIGITAL is looking for an Ecosystem Specialist to support the development and operations of our Southern European innovation ecosystem, working closely with partners, projects, and the regional team.
The Ecosystem Specialist is responsible and accountable for:
- Effective management and coordination of 28DIGITAL's participation in assigned 28DIGITAL’s activities.
- Efficient and effective support to the regional team, to facilitate the administrative and operational processes around ecosystem partners, and 28DIGITAL innovation and education activities, projects and events.
- Operational handling of administrative tasks.
The Ecosystem Specialist reports to the Regional Director and collaborates with colleagues across the organisation.
Main responsibilities
Administrative and operational support
- Manage operational processes such as purchase orders, documentation, and cost tracking in accordance with internal procedures.
- Support documentation, reporting, and administrative coordination across regional activities.
- Produce presentations, documents, statistics at the request of the Regional Director.
Regional operations and events
- Provide operational and administrative support for regional meetings, activities, and events.
- Coordinate logistics, suppliers, and operational procedures related to the 28DIGITAL offices.
- Organise and support the organisation of regional events and engagement activities within the ecosystem.
Ecosystem operations and partner management
- Support the management and coordination of 28DIGITAL ecosystem partners, including administrative processes and partner interactions.
- Maintain and update ecosystem data and CRM systems.
- Contribute to the management of the regional partner base and partnership processes (e.g. onboarding, payments, among others).
Project management and EU projects
- Support the implementation, coordination, and reporting of regional, national, and EU-funded projects.
- Contribute to grant acquisition and proposal preparation at regional, national, and European level.
- Monitor project activities and ensure timely reporting and compliance with funding requirements.
- Provide operational support to the Regional Director South when required.
Qualifications and experience
- Ability to work in multidisciplinary and multi-stakeholder teams.
- BSc/BA in business administration or academic background in STEM, MSc/MA is an asset.
- 5+ years of relevant experience. Sound understanding of administrative processes. Experience in online and in-person events planning, organisation and execution, marketing experience is a plus.
- Experience working in fast paced environment and/or in an international organisation is an advantage.
- The candidate is to be proactive, service-oriented, capable of multi-tasking, and motivated to drive continuous improvement based on sound analysis.
- Experience in managing and reporting regional, national and/or EU-funded projects.
- Good communication and outstanding organisational skills, including logistics.
- Proficient in Microsoft 365 Applications and Services tools and as well as common virtual presence tools and technologies. Experience in using HubSpot or similar, is desirable.
Languages
Fluent in English and Spanish with excellent verbal and written communication skills. Additional EU languages are a plus.
