From Experimentation to Scale is a joint online policy event organised by the Horizon Europe projects FINEST SCALEUP and FINEX, bringing together policymakers, innovation stakeholders, researchers, entrepreneurs and ecosystem actors to discuss how Europe can better connect experimentation, commercialisation and scaling across its innovation ecosystems.
The event explores the complementary perspectives of both projects. FINEX focuses on experimentation spaces—including testbeds, living labs and regulatory sandboxes—as key enablers for accelerating cleantech innovation. FINEST SCALEUP addresses the next stage of the innovation journey by supporting deep-tech ventures in scaling, attracting investment and accessing international markets through stronger and more connected innovation ecosystems.
Participants will discuss best practices, project findings and policy recommendations aimed at strengthening ecosystem connectivity across Europe, with perspectives from the Baltic Sea Region, Cyprus and Bulgaria. The session is designed to encourage dialogue between EU policymakers and innovation stakeholders on future actions that can support a more competitive, connected and inclusive European innovation landscape.
