SME4DD announces a packed schedule of events, webinars and courses

Events
16 September: Salon de la Data et de l’IA (Nantes, France)
SME4DD project partner Inria Academy will present at the Salon de la Data et de l'IA, a data and AI exhibition being held in Nantes, France. The event is set to feature more than 80 presentations and a dozen interactive workshops, with Inria highlighting SME4DD’s upcoming ‘Machine Learning: Tech Bricks for SMEs’ course.
17 – 18 September: SIDO 2025 (Lyon, France)
SME4DD is coming to SIDO 2025, the place where IoT, AI, XR and robotics meet! We’ll be represented by project partner Inria Academy, who will be on site to share how SMEs can leverage our courses in Artificial Intelligence, Blockchain and Cybersecurity to stay competitive and drive their digital transformation.
1 – 3 October: Italian Tech Week (Turin, Italy)
As the place where the best tech leaders meet, Italian Tech Week is set to feature over 180 world class speakers, more than 45 master classes and countless opportunities to network and learn. It will also feature not one, but TWO SME4DD led workshops! With a focus on SMEs, one workshop will look at cybersecurity while the other will take a deep dive into deep fakes.

In this webinar, hosted by SME4DD partner Talent Garden, you will learn how to recognise digital forgeries and protect yourself from misinformation. Through practical examples and guided reflections, you will leave equipped with a critical mindset and the tools you need to defend yourself and your business in a digital world.
25 September: Prepare your SME for EU Cyber Rules
Jointly hosted by the SME4DD and CURIUM projects, this webinar is designed to help SMEs understand and prepare for the upcoming EU Cyber Resilience Act (CRA). During this free one-hour session, our experts will explain what the CRA means for SMEs and provide practical guidance and actionable tools to help you protect your business and stay ahead of EU regulations.
Organised by Budapest University of Technology and Economics, this free, one-hour session will explore blockchain basics and the technical and legal considerations for implementing this technology, as well as provide specific examples of how the technology is being used to protect IP. It will also help you understand how to use such key applications as dynamic NDAs and ‘clean room’ IP development to safeguard your company’s creative IP.
Join Enrico Zio, a professor at Mines-Paris PSL and Politecnico di Milano, to learn how you can integrate AI into your industrial processes and increase reliability, efficiency and sustainability.
Courses
Led by Inria’s Laure Bourgois, an engineer-trainer specialising in AI, this free course (taught in French) not only covers AI fundamentals, it also utilises practical case studies on using machine learning to personalise the customer experience, optimise and automate business processes, enhance security and strengthen fraud detection.
29 September and 10 November: Blockchain for Small Businesses
Want to learn how smart SMEs are using blockchain to unlock new business opportunities? Then be sure to register for our upcoming course on Blockchain for Small Businesses! With a focus on building new business collaborations on blockchain, this course is designed to give small businesses the knowledge and skills they need to understand the main potential of blockchain technology, assess their potential for leveraging blockchain to achieve efficiency gains and new business opportunities, and identify the main benefits of blockchain.
SME4DD partner Budapest University of Technology and Economics (BME) will teach the course twice, once in-person and in Hungarian (29 September) and once online and in English (10 November).
9 October and 19 November: Scikit-learn: The Machine Learning Toolbox for SMEs
Taught by Laure Bourgois, an expert on AI at the Inria Academy, this course is a unique opportunity to enhance your team's skills in using machine learning tools. The beginner-level course will be taught in French.
3 November: AI for Business
Curious about how AI might shape your work but unsure where to start? Taught by SME4DD project partner Hyper Island, this course is for business professionals who want to learn by doing, test real tools, and explore how AI can help you think smarter, work faster, and solve everyday challenges — without needing a technical background.
