In 2023, nearly 43% of all cyberattacks targeted SMEs, with the average cost of an attack ranging anywhere from EUR 110,000 to as much as EUR 1.14 million. Yet despite this very real risk, a mere 14% of European SMEs are adequately prepared to defend themselves against a cyberattack.

Employees of SMEs can enrol now in a new EIT Digital programme designed to improve computer skills available to the European workforce, with local language training in French, Italian, and Hungarian. 

SME4DD (SMEs for the Digital Decade) is ready to build the capacity of SMEs with courses now available in blockchain, machine learning and cyber security.

The SME4DD project was showcased at the Open Source Experience and SIDO in Paris, France, on 6-7 December 2023. The SME4DD project was represented at the AIXA Summit 2023 in Milan, Italy, on 8-9 November 2023. Assintel and its Secretary General participated in a panel session exploring the practical applications of AI and emerging technologies in business, highlighting SME4DD's impact on SMEs' digital skills enhancement. 28 September 2023 - SME4DD Workshop

A SME4DD-related workshop was held in Hungary on 28 September 2023, organized by BME and KIFÜ. SME representatives were invited to provide input on their training needs, helping shape the curriculum of future short-term courses under the SME4DD project. 25 September and 23 October 2023 - TAG Cybersecurity Workshops

As part of the SME4DD project, Talent Garden, in collaboration with Assintel, organized cybersecurity workshops on 25 September and 23 October 2023. These online events focused on cybersecurity and social engineering for SMEs, promoting the upcoming TAG course on cybersecurity. Participants gained insights into protecting their businesses from cyber threats and enhancing their overall cybersecurity posture.

12 - 13 September 2023 - Salon PRODURABLE

The SME4DD project was features in Salon PRODURABLE 2023 in Paris, France, on 12-13 September 2023. This event focused on Sustainable Development and Corporate Social Responsibility, where INRIA met SMEs and startups from various sectors, promoting the SME4DD project and its digital training opportunities. SME4DD was showcased at VivaTech 2023 in Paris, France, from 14-16 June 2023. INRIA featured a 3-day program, including special sessions and demonstrations on AI and cybersecurity technologies.
