28DIGITAL is delighted to announce the Innovation Day in Madrid, a full-day gathering dedicated to advancing Europe’s digital innovation landscape and strengthening the links between research, industry, and public institutions.
The Innovation Day will open with welcoming words from Richard Benjamins, Chairman of the Supervisory Board at 28DIGITAL, followed by a presentation of the 2025 highlights by Elena Contioso-Fleming, Regional Director South at 28DIGITAL.
A key focus of the morning will be DeepTech from Academia to Market, featuring contributions from the University of Barcelona, INDRA, and InnEurope, exploring how breakthrough research can successfully scale into real-world solutions. This will be followed by insights on Public Investment in Deep Tech from Raquel Cuervo Salvador, Strategic Technologies for Europe Platform (STEP) Task Force at DG-BUD, European Commission, outlining how Europe is building long-term strategic capacity.
Participants will then engage in European Collaboration in Action: a fast-paced showcase of cutting-edge technologies developed within the EU-funded projects MANOLO, DeployAI, and CUSTODES, complemented by a poster session with the innovators behind them.
The conversation will continue with Regional EDIHs, Shared Insights, bringing together EDIH Madrid Region, InnDIH, and IRIS Navarra to exchange lessons learned and best practices in supporting digital transformation across territories. The session will conclude with an overview of upcoming opportunities and closing remarks from 28DIGITAL.
In the afternoon, attendees are invited to take part in two hands-on workshops.
Networking opportunities over lunch will offer a valuable occasion to connect with peers and explore new avenues for collaboration.
